Hello, my name is John Baucum. I have been teaching music lessons for 40 years. I am the author of
60 Seconds Can Change Your Life: A Fresh Approach to Learning the Guitar.

For beginners to advanced players. Great for all ages! From 4 years old to seniors. Specializing in fun, engaging lessons that challenge students to strive for excellence. All styles taught: Rock, Blues, Finger style, Solo Guitar, Bluegrass and more. Practical theory, ear training, and technique exercises help students reach their musical goals.

My goal is for students to have a fun time while they learn to play a musical instrument. I strive
to give the students a musical education in addition to helping them reach the goals they have set
for themselves.

Teaching Styles: Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Prog Rock, Blues, Bluegrass, Finger style, Solo Guitar and more.

1. Music Theory: who, what, why and how of music
2. Sight Reading: ability to read sheet music
3. Ear Training: ability to hear a song in your head or on the radio, and decipher the
   notes in order to play that tune on your instrument
4. Improvising: ability to make up a song, write a section of music, or create a musical part to add to a section of music
