Experience:
A part of Barker’s Music teaching staff since 2025, Martin offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced saxophone, clarinet, and flute lessons; as well as general music theory. Martin also teaches Jazz techniques for all instruments including improvising, phrasing and articulation, and interpretation.
With over 4 decades of professional experience, Martin has performed with or opened for such legendary performers as Ray Charles, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Bob Newhart, Cheech Marin, Don Rickels, Joan Rivers, and Carol Channing; as well as jazz legends Jon Faddis, James Moody, Bobby Shew, Bill Watrous, and Clark Terry.
