Voice Instructor

Greetings! I am a caring and passionate voice teacher who strives to instill confidence in students by giving them the tools they need to improve and by offering ongoing encouragement. I have 15+ years of experience teaching all ages and skill levels across various styles. My students have ranged from those who want to improve their voice for personal use to those who are college or career bound. Drawing from my education (Masters in Vocal Performance from Indiana University), personal training, professional workshops, teaching experience, and performing experience, I teach a breath-based technique that helps to free tension, promotes healthy vocal production, and is adaptable to all styles.

While living in Massachusetts, I served on the voice faculty at Salem State University and as the Performing Arts Chair at The Waring School in Beverly where I also taught voice and chorus. In addition, I have served as the Music Director for numerous school and community theater musicals. Since moving to Modesto in 2020, I have served on the faculty of Opera Modesto’s SOI (Summer Opera Institute) and helped vocally prepare the “Spirits” for their production of The Magic Flute. I am a member of the MSO Chorus and the Candlelight Chorus.
